Weird, where did my original deviation go to? If it comes back I'll deleted this one.
Original info: Did this for the demoreel after transposing the model in Zbrush and touching up with PS here and there. And since I have time, here's some fluff. A Chosen is a mortal favoured by one of the Dodekatheon, selected for his or her bravery in battle, and more often than not having suffered near-fatal wounds in the name of their patron. Unlike a goddess' Champion, a Chosen is not one of the Celestial Olympians. Elax Diatar, Athena's Chosen, was a Myrmidon commander on Alternia before he lost his right arm defending the goddess herself from a demon when she was recovering from severe injuries; the wires embedded into his flesh constantly relay his brain signals to the mechanical forearm. I've got a whole load of stories regarding this, but right now I'm kinda busy looking for a job. Maybe in the future I'll get a group of friends and start dishing out character concepts/models on a regular basis. Oh, right. Software used is Maya for modelling, Zbrush for sculpting and generating normal maps, Photoshop for texturing. |
